Get to know Blue Mountain Gin

Updated: May 26, 2021

Blue Mountain Gin is our most popular gin, inspired by the view of the Blue Mountains from our distillery window. It is distilled using mint and rosemary grown on our farm, as well as native Australian pepperberry, producing a uniquely herbaceous botanical gin with a hint of spice.

Blue Mountain Gin is infused with Butterfly Pea Flower, giving it its distinctive blue colour.⠀

Serve Blue Mountain Gin over ice and add good-quality tonic (we recommend Fever-tree Mediterranean Tonic Water) to see the magical colour change from deep blue to lilac. This is, in fact, not magic but a reaction between the quinine in the tonic and the blue butterfly pea flower in the gin which causes the pH (and colour) to change. Add a slice of lemon and sprig of rosemary or mint and enjoy a Blue Mountain Sunset Gin and Tonic. Head over to our Instagram profile to see the colour-change in action!

Blue Mountain Gin also tastes great with soda if you’re not a fan of tonic, but you will only see the colour change if you add a citrus garnish. Check out our Cocktails page for more serving suggestions.
